The New Easy Riders Bicycle Touring Group is based on the original meetup Bay Area Easy Riders Bicycle Touring Group. We continue to promote, guide and support interesting, really fun bicycle tours along with bicycle safety information. We follow the Rules of the Road and good bicycle etiquette. We do require HELMETS! We emphasize combining bicycles with public transportation (BART, Amtrak, Cal trans, Ferry, light rail) to reach trails that cover the entire Bay area. Our rides are at a soc …

We'd like to connect with tandem bicycle owners (and tandem lovers if not owners) in and around San Francisco. Let's share our enthusiasm and experiences, swap tips and advice, and of course meet up! As it happens, we founders of this tandem Meetup group are not car drivers. This means that when we go out the door, it is not to load the tandem on the roof of the car and drive to a bike path; when we go out the door, we're tandeming—on city streets, though probably on our way to a reachable bike …
Welcome to the Peninsula and South Bay Bicycling Group! We are a group of riders of all kinds and of all levels. By joining BTCEB you'll be supporting grassroots mountain bike advocacy, meet other mountain bikers, and learn about great trails to ride. The Berkeley Bicycling Meetup Group is for anyone who wants to meet new people and explore the Bay Area. We have done mostly road rides but I plan to post a few mountain bike rides in the near future. The rides are a lot of fun and are a great place to learn new routes. Despite the vast number of "members" (444, last time I checked), our group is small. There are 10-15 people who regularly attend our rides, with a handful on any given ride. This group doesn't drop slower riders! Unless I spe …

The focus is on social, OFF-ROAD (no dodging cars and inhaling fumes), but paved trail rides and rolls on weekdays in the FUN area. Rides/rolls usually end with a bit of tailgating, coffee shop or picnic-with-view time.

We are planning a series of safe, accessible rides though urban San Francisco that give people a taste of every-day biking in the city. Here's what we envision: + Safe, tried and true r …
This is a group for all types of cyclists to connect with other riders so nobody has to ride alone (unless you want to). We value cycling as a community more than the competetive aspects quite often associated with our passion but that doesn't limit friendly challenges from occuring before regrouping. Besides the standard group type rides, we support rides that fall outside the normal offerings with an emphasis on exploration and variety. Do you like to mix road and dirt into the same ride? Have …

The purpose of this group is to gather everyone who is interested in getting together consistently on weekends for a nice bike ride to different beautiful places in the Bay Area. My friend and I started biking a month ago and found that we really enjoy it. We have been to the Golden Gate Park and we love the ride over the Golden Gate Bridge to Sausalito and then to Tiburon. We want this to be a fun group where everyone could talk and hang out for brunch after the bike ride. We will come up with …

Meet other bicyclists that are interested in regular rides at a brisk pace (15-20mph). We are currently riding 2-3x/week in the evenings (9:45-11:00pm). The course is a 2.3 mile circuit in Dublin, CA. (Most of us are not categorized USCF racers; we aim to stay fit and throw in a few sprints for fun.) Why so late? Most of us have young kids and this is a good exercise time after they've gone to bed. Plus, traffic is minimal and there's never any sunblock needed! Some riders do longer rides on w …
